The remittance services provided by Uber Remit are currently only available via the native Uber Remit mobile phone app. Hereby referred to as the “Service”.
In future these remittance services may be provided by the Uber Remit website also. There is a subset of functionality provided by the Uber Remit website which provides administrative functions for our customers. The functionality of the Uber Remit website also falls under these terms and conditions, and are also referred to as the “Service”.
The use of this service is subject to the following terms and conditions which you should read carefully.

USE OF THE UBER REMIT SERVICE
The information, services and products on this service are intended for international use according to the Laws of England, and residents of any other jurisdiction should seek private legal advice where necessary prior to proceeding with the use of this App.
This service is designed to be accessed through its principal product home screens and such other screens as we may decide. If you access the service through individual screens directly, which are not designed for this purpose, you may not see important information which is relevant to a full understanding of our products and services. You will be referred on certain service screens to read “Legal Information “. This Legal Information will contain important product details and relevant legal or regulatory information and should be read in conjunction with the relevant service screens.
DESCRIPTION OF GOODS AND SERVICES PROVIDED BY THE APP
The Uber Remit service provides currency remittance services from your domiciled country to other countries where Uber Remit are regulated to do so. The service is currently only available to the residents of the United Kingdom.
The Uber Remit service does not ship physical goods. Uber Remit provides currency remittance services to its customers. The delivery time in most cases is less than 10 minutes. If there is a delay in delivery Uber Remit will advise and offer the appropriate assistance to expedite delivery.
The source currency for transactions is GBP (British Pounds). The delivery (destination) currencies are currently UGX (Ugandan Shillings), KES (Kenyan Shillings).
CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS
If you have any problems using the Service you should contact us.
You have the right to cancel your agreement with us after you have submitted a Transaction. This right of cancellation continues until fourteen days after you have submitted the transaction, or until we have completed the contract by paying the Payout Amount to the Recipient, whichever is the earlier. If you exercise your right to cancel under this clause, we may make a cancellation charge.
If you wish to exercise your right to cancel under this clause, you must submit a written request to one of the contact points listed at the bottom of this Terms and Conditions, giving the Sender’s full name, address, and phone number, together with the Transaction tracking number, Transaction Amount, and the reason for your refund request.
Any refunds may be credited back in the form an manner that we nominate. No adjustment will be made for any currency fluctuations which may have occurred in the meanwhile.
EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY
These ‘Exclusion of liability’ provisions should be read carefully as they exclude or limit our legal liability in connection with your use of this service.
Nothing in these terms and conditions and in particular within the ‘Exclusion of liability’ clauses shall attempt to exclude liability that is not permissible under applicable law, including without limitation, for death or personal injury, or for fraudulent misrepresentation. Nothing in these terms and conditions shall exclude or limit or restrict our duties and liabilities to you under any conduct of business rules or Code of Practice which we are bound to comply with.
While we have taken all reasonable steps to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the content of the service:
We exclude any warranties, undertakings or representations (either express or implied) to the full extent permitted under applicable law, that the service or (including without limitation) all or any part of the content or materials, accuracy, availability or completeness of the content of the service or any part of the content or materials are appropriate or available for use either in the United Kingdom, United States or in other jurisdictions.
If you use this service from other jurisdictions, you are responsible for compliance with applicable local laws;
We accept no liability (including without limitation) in either contract, tort, negligence, statutory duty or otherwise (to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law) arising out of the use of or access to this service (which includes without limitation) any errors or omissions contained in this service or if the service is unavailable and we shall not be liable for any direct or indirect:
Economic losses (including without limitation loss of revenues, data, profits, contracts, use, opportunity, business or anticipated savings); loss of goodwill or reputation; special, incidental, consequential loss or damage, suffered or incurred arising out of or in connection with your use of this service and these terms and conditions; and
Access to and use of this service is at the user’s own risk. We do not warrant that the use of this service or any material downloaded from it will not cause damage to any property, or otherwise minimise or eliminate the inherent risks of the internet including but not limited to loss of data, computer virus infection, spyware, malicious software, trojans and worms. Also, we accept no liability in respect of losses or damages arising out of changes made to the content of this service by unauthorised third parties.
To provide increased value to users of this service , we may provide links to other sites or resources (that are not associated with Uber Remit) for you to access at your sole discretion. You acknowledge and agree that, as you have chosen to enter the linked service we are not responsible for the availability of such external sites or resources, and do not review or endorse and shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for
(i) the privacy practices of such sites,
(ii) the content of such sites, including (without limitation) any advertising, content, products, goods or other materials or services on or available from such Apps or resources or
(iii) the use that others make of these sites or resources, nor for any damage, loss or offence caused or alleged to be caused by, or in connection with, the use of or reliance on any such advertising, content,
products, goods or other materials or services available on such external sites or resources.
The above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you to the extent that applicable law may not allow the limitation or exclusion of liability for incidental or consequential damages.
